Nicola paints and teaches from her beautiful studio in Sussex and has gained recognition as an established life and portrait artist. Coming from a family of artists, her grandfather was Treyer Evans who illustrated many of the Enid Blyton books.
Nicola is known for her exceptional ability to capture the unique character and emotions of her subjects, along with her skilled use of colour, which adds depth and complexity to her work. Nicola was invited to exhibit her work at The Mall Galleries in London as part of the prestigious showcase held by The Royal Society of Portrait Painters, reaffirming her talent in portraiture. This exhibition is one of the largest and most significant celebrations of portrait painting in Europe.
Aside from the life drawing classes that she teaches and her portrait commissions, Nicola finds simple enjoyment in observing and sketching everyday encounters, whether it be friends chatting in a café or someone snoozing on a train. These line drawings have exceptional character and movement and we hope to work with her on some of these soon.
